Custom Carpentry

Forme One's Custom Carpentry service creates bespoke wardrobes, interior doors, wall units, shelving and storage that are designed for your exact space and made to measure — never bought off the shelf. Every piece is drawn to fit the room it lives in, taking account of real wall dimensions, ceiling heights, sloped or awkward corners, electrical points and the way you actually use the space. Whether it is a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe for a master bedroom, a set of solid interior doors, a media wall unit for the living room, or built-in shelving for a home office or shop, we build it around you rather than forcing your home to work around a standard product.

The process runs end to end with one team. It starts with a conversation on WhatsApp and a free site visit, where we measure precisely and discuss your needs, style and budget. Our designers then produce drawings and 3D visuals so you can see the piece before a single board is cut, and we help you choose materials, finishes, colours and hardware. Once the design and quote are approved, the piece is manufactured in our own Marka Al-Shamalia workshop and then installed by Forme One's own fitters — clean, level and finished on site. Because design, manufacture and installation all sit under one roof, there are no gaps between subcontractors and no one to pass blame to.

Quality lives in the details. We work with a full range of materials — MDF and lacquer for smooth painted finishes, natural veneers and solid wood where you want real grain, melamine and laminate boards for hard-wearing everyday use, plus HPL, acrylic and glass options. Hardware matters just as much as the box: we fit soft-close hinges and drawer runners, quality handles or handleless push systems, adjustable shelves, pull-out baskets, trouser racks, LED lighting and internal organisers so the piece works beautifully day after day, not just on day one. Edges are properly banded, backs are fitted flush, and everything is scribed to the wall so there are no ugly gaps.

The Forme One difference is that we are makers, not just resellers. Our carpentry heritage goes back to a family workshop founded in 1978, and since 2013 the Forme One brand and our own workshop have combined that craftsmanship with modern design and precise machinery. This means we control cost, quality and timing directly — we can match an unusual colour, replicate an existing unit, solve a tricky corner, or adjust a design mid-project without waiting on an outside supplier. You deal with one accountable company from first measurement to final handover, and we back our work with an on-time promise and after-care.

This service suits homeowners who want storage that finally fits — bedrooms, kitchens, entrances, living rooms, studies and children's rooms — as well as businesses that need bespoke joinery for offices, clinics, retail displays, receptions and hospitality. It is ideal for new apartments being fitted out, older homes being renovated, and awkward spaces where nothing standard will do. If you want furniture built to your measurements, in the finish you choose, installed properly by the people who made it, this is where to start. Message us on WhatsApp with a few photos and rough dimensions and we will come back with an estimate within one business day.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does custom carpentry cost in Jordan?

Because every piece is made to measure, the price depends on the size, the material and finish (melamine and laminate cost less than lacquer, veneer or solid wood), and the hardware and internal fittings you choose. There is no fixed catalogue price. Send us your rough dimensions and a photo on WhatsApp and we will give you a clear, itemised estimate in JOD within one business day, with no obligation.

How do I get a quote?

Message us on WhatsApp with a description of what you need, a few photos of the space and approximate measurements. For most jobs we then arrange a free site visit to measure precisely. You will receive a written estimate within one business day of us having the details.

How long does it take from order to installation?

Timelines depend on the size and finish, but as a general guide a single wardrobe or wall unit typically takes around two to four weeks from design approval, while larger multi-room jobs take longer. Because we manufacture in our own workshop, we control the schedule directly and confirm a delivery date in writing before we start.

Do I get to see a design before you build it?

Yes. After measuring, our designers prepare drawings and 3D visuals so you can see the layout, proportions, colours and finishes before any board is cut. We adjust the design with you until you are happy, and only then do we move to manufacturing.

What materials and finishes can I choose from?

We work with MDF and lacquer for smooth painted finishes, natural wood veneers and solid wood for real grain, and melamine, laminate and HPL boards for durable everyday surfaces, plus acrylic and glass accents. We will show you samples and recommend the best option for your budget, the room's use, and how much moisture or wear it will face.

Can you match an existing piece or a specific colour?

Yes. Because we manufacture in-house, we can replicate an existing unit, extend a set you already have, or match a particular colour and finish so new carpentry blends in with what is already in the room. Bring us a photo or a sample and we will work to it.

Do you handle installation, or just make the furniture?

We handle both. The same company that designs and manufactures your piece also installs it, using Forme One's own fitters. They scribe the piece to the wall, level it, fit the hardware and clean up afterwards, so you deal with one accountable team from start to finish rather than coordinating separate suppliers.

Can you build around awkward walls, sloped ceilings or existing pipes?

Yes — this is exactly where made-to-measure carpentry beats ready-made furniture. We measure the real space and design around sloped ceilings, columns, niches, radiators, sockets and pipework so the piece fits tightly with no wasted gaps. Awkward corners are usually where custom work adds the most value.

How much disruption will there be during installation, and can I stay in the home?

Most of the work — cutting, assembly and finishing — happens in our workshop, so on-site time is mainly clean installation and adjustment. You can normally stay in your home; we protect the surrounding area, keep dust to a minimum and tidy up when we finish. We will tell you in advance how many days on site to expect.

Do you offer a warranty or after-care?

Yes. We stand behind our workmanship and the hardware we install. If a hinge, runner or handle needs adjusting after installation, or something is not sitting right, contact us and we will put it right. Because we made the piece ourselves, spare parts and future adjustments are straightforward.

Do you work with businesses as well as homes?

Yes. Alongside home wardrobes, doors and wall units, we produce bespoke joinery for offices, clinics, retail shops, receptions and hospitality — display units, counters, storage walls, reception desks and more, all designed to the space and to your brand.

Which areas in Jordan do you serve, and what are the payment terms?

We are based in Amman with our workshop in Marka Al-Shamalia and serve clients across Jordan. Payment is usually staged — a deposit to confirm the order and begin manufacturing, with the balance on delivery and installation. We will lay out the exact terms in your written quote before any work starts.
